Whaler's Inn Motel Ashtray Wall Art

A high quality art print of an ashtray from the Whaler's Inn Motel, Anaheim, California. Vintage, circa 1950s. Framed in 3/8" extruded aluminum metal. Made in the USA.

The Whaler's Inn Motel was located on 1750 Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, California and had the phone number, Prospect 4-2460. Later to be known as the Village Inn, the motel had an iconic spouting whale neon sign that was designed by the Santa Ana Neon Company. The hotel building was probably demolished between 2000 and 2002. While we do not known the exact year it opened, it was first mentioned in the Santa Ana Register in 1937. For a design so iconic, we are perplexed that there does not seem to be much information regarding this business. We are glad that a remnant of this amazing looking motel survives in this ashtrays and prints to be shared all over the world!
