Monte Carlo Third at Vermont Ashtray Wall Art

This ashtray is very interesting and may be connected to a bar that may or may not be in business still. We have a hunch that they are so we will take that leap of faith and share some information (let us know if we are wrong!). The Monte Carlo Bar, 3514 W 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90020, fits the name and the street intersection on the ashtray well. We could not find much more info about the age of the bar but there is an article stating this is a long-standing business in the neighborhood. The cocktails in the design of the ashtray also feel promising with the connection. While we cannot guarantee the relationship between this antique ashtray and the current Monte Carlo in Koreatown, LA, we hope that our investigation skills were fruitful and preserved a piece of LA history.
