A high quality art print of an ashtray from Massacre Canyon Inn Golf Resort, San Jacinto, California. Vintage, circa 1960s. Framed in 3/8" extruded aluminum metal. Made in the USA.
The Massacre Canyon Inn was located in Gilman Hot Springs, also known as the San Jacinto Hot Springs or the Relief Springs. In 1963, William Earl Gilman II started the Massacre Canyon Inn on the south side of Gilman Springs Road. From 1971, the family tried to sell the property but was unsuccessful, filing for bankruptcy in 1978. An interesting turn of events occurred when the Church of Scientology purchased the property for a fraction of its asking price. The existing hotel and other structures were demolished to erect new buildings for the church.
